WELCOME to Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha-Hawaii Dazaifu Tenmangu, a Shinto shrine established in 1920 in Honolulu to preserve and perpetuate Shinto traditions in Hawaii and engage in cultural celebrations that acknowledge the divine in all of creation, and venerate our ancestral spirits.

Our two main shrines are Kotohiragu of Kagawa-ken, also known as Konpira-san and Dazaifu Tenmangu of Fukuoka-ken or Tenjin-san .

There are also five other shrines represented in
Hawaii at the same site:
Otaki Jinja of Otake City in Hiroshima, Shirasaki Hachimangu of Yamaguchi-ken, Suitengu of Kurume City in Fukuoka, Watatsumi Jinja of Tokushima and Inari Jinja of Kyoto.

Join us in celebrating the traditions and legacy of a rich and inspiring past.
